Gender Assessment of Skills Development and Overseas Employment Opportunities for Women in Pakistan
Gender Assessment of Skills Development and Overseas Employment Opportunities for Women in Pakistan was conducted with the aim to increase understanding the existing skills development opportunities for Pakistani women and their access to international labour migration, especially in the Gulf Council Countries. The Assessment provides recommendations that can support the development of policy and programmes that will promote a more gender-equitable access to skills development opportunities leading to improved outcomes for all migrant workers.
This is an initiative under the Governance of Labour Migration in South and South East Asia (GOALS), a joint programme between the International Labour Organization (ILO), the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and UN Women, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). The programme aims to strengthen collaboration and effective labour migration governance enabling safe, orderly and regular for all women and men.
